Tahlia is a young, quiet achiever who supports and encourages Nannup youth to participate in activities.
In January 2011 Tahlia was awarded the Australia Day Citizenship Award for an Individual under 25 years of age.  A very worthy recipient, Tahlia received this award for her involvement with the Youth Advisory Council, Blackwood Playpups and as a convenor of the Nannup Clicking our Culture Project.  
Tahlia was also the recipient of the Shire of Nannup/Lions Club Leeuwin Endeavour Experience Scholarship for 2010/11 and sailed on the Leeuwin recently.  
Within the Nannup Youth Advisory Council Tahlia is a natural leader and other members lean towards her for support.  She is extremely good at “gathering the troops” and is diligent, reliable and resourceful.
Tahlia is an active participant in the Blackwood Playpups and mentors young actors and assists them to learn their lines.  She recently attended a Leadership camp and is now contributing back into her own community with these skills learnt.
Tahlia helps out at many other events and activities throughout the community.
Youth in Nannup benefit from Tahlia’s leadership as most activities are conducted by youth for youth and the wider community.  Without leadership these activities would not happen.
The wider community benefits from Tahlia’s leadership and participation as she actively demonstrates the positive attributes of youth  and has contribute to the great relation in Nannup between youth and the aged.
